debugPanel - for iOS more flexible alternative to the console in Xcode
If you’re a app developer and you need something a little more flexible than the console in Xcode, or if you need to do some in-field debugging of your app, then debugPanel may be just the app for you.
Especially, if you have an iPhone app you need to debug, but the iPhone may not have enough screen real-estate for showing you all debug information you would like to monitor.
If you need it, here is a simple demo that you can build and run in Xcode
If you run it, it will talk to debugPanel and debugPanelLite, even if it's
running on the simulator
debugPanel - Main Monitoring Screen - iPad
DebugPanel is a universal app that aids to debugging apps in Xcode. It works by interpreting simple text messages from MCSession in which two devices are connected together, either via wifi or bluetooth.
It works in a similar way to Xcode’s console, while it has some similar features
to the console, it is very useful, or at least we find it so.
For example, when debugging iPhone applications, debug buttons can be placed on a remote iPad and far more information can be sent to the iPad display, to different panels, labels and popup boxes called flags. debugPanel is great when perhaps you want to the state of some flags or obtain debug information from an app you are developing or testing, using an iPad as debugPanel frees the iPhone’s display from having to display debug information.
Simple text messages are displayed in the main left panel. Other panels and buttons can be written to with simple text commands
Personally, I find the app pretty cool, great fun to play with and very useful if you are an apple iOS developer. If you want to just play with the app, download debugPanelLite on an iPad and debugPanelSender on another device. In addition, you can use any device for these two apps, I just use an iPad as the debugPanel device.

DebugPanelLite is a simpler version of debugPanel with fewer functions. View logs are disabled (although they can still be viewed in iTunes) and the top toolbar has only two buttons.
